Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of mirroo.me (the "Service") operated by 에스클리시 (Esklisy) ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. What Is mirroo.me?

mirroo.me is an anonymous peer-feedback platform. You create a question link, share it with people you choose, and receive AI-distilled insights — without ever seeing the raw responses from those people (and neither do we show them to anyone else).

Core policy — Raw Hard Block: Raw responses are encrypted (AES-256) and never displayed to anyone, including you. The Service only shows aggregated, AI-processed insights. This is not a limitation — it is a deliberate design that protects your relationships.

mirroo.me is NOT:

• An anonymous message inbox (like NGL or Tellonym)
• A platform for publicly exposing other people's opinions
• A replacement for professional psychological, legal, or career advice

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 19 years old to use the Service.
• By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.
• We do not knowingly collect information from users under 13 (COPPA). If you are under 13, do not use this Service.
• Accounts found to be held by underage users will be terminated immediately.

3. Accounts

1. Registration: You may register via email or social login (Kakao, Google).
2. One account per person: Creating multiple accounts for yourself is prohibited.
3. Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
4. Account termination: You may delete your account via /account/settings. A 30-day grace period applies before permanent deletion.

4. Plans and Pricing

The Service is offered in four tiers:

Pricing note: The USD amounts shown are approximate and for reference only. All charges are processed in Korean Won (KRW) by our payment processor. The actual KRW amount charged is shown at checkout. Exchange rates may vary.

First-purchase discount: Users who make their first payment (Single or subscription) within 7 days of registration receive a 50% discount.

5. Payment

1. Payments are processed by Toss Payments (토스페이먼츠), a Korean payment processor. We do not directly store your payment card numbers.
2. Subscriptions (Pro, Pro Max) renew automatically each month. You will receive a notice by email at least 7 days before renewal.
3. At checkout, we will display the item name, price in KRW, and your right to cancel before confirming.

6. Refund Policy

To request a refund, click "Request refund" in /account/subscription or email support@mirroo.me. We process refund requests within 3–7 business days.

Auto-deny reason codes (refund_requests.decision_reason):

• after_24h — More than 24 hours after first charge
• insight_viewed — Insight already opened
• after_analysis — Analysis already started (Single)
• already_refunded — Transaction already refunded
• system_error — System failure (auto-refund)

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

1. Impersonate any person or misuse another person's identity or credentials
2. Submit responses to your own question links (to inflate statistics)
3. Submit duplicate or artificially coordinated responses to any link
4. Create questions that harass, defame, or threaten individuals
5. Include content that is obscene, violent, or discriminatory
6. Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack the Service infrastructure
7. Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or unauthorized advertising
8. Redistribute AI-generated insights commercially without written permission

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice.

8. Respondent Conduct

Respondents (people who receive and answer your shared links) are responsible for their submitted content. Respondents agree not to submit:

• Defamatory, harassing, or threatening statements
• Content that is obscene, violent, or discriminatory
• Spam, advertisements, or malicious links

Respondents may report inappropriate questions via the "Report this question" button in the response form.

9. Reporting and Automated Moderation

• Respondents can report a question link via the in-form report button.
• If a question accumulates 3 or more reports, it is automatically set to private and the creator is notified.
• We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms.
• An automated content moderation layer (AI-based, threshold: 0.92) screens all submitted responses. This threshold may be adjusted during the beta period based on performance measurement.

10. Intellectual Property

1. Your questions: You retain ownership of the question text you create. You grant us a non-exclusive license to process and use it solely to operate the Service.
2. Respondent answers: Respondents retain ownership of their submitted text. Raw answers are never shown to anyone and are used solely for AI processing.
3. AI insights: AI-generated insights are produced for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not commercially redistribute, publish, or sell AI insights without our written permission.
4. Our platform: All platform code, design, branding, and trademarks are owned by us. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use our intellectual property.

11. Section 230 Notice

The Service provides a platform for user-generated content submitted by respondents. Under 47 U.S.C. § 230, we are not liable for content created by third parties. However, we may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

12. DMCA Takedown

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to support@mirroo.me that includes:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work
2. Description of the allegedly infringing content
3. Your contact information
4. A statement of good faith
5. Your physical or electronic signature

We will process valid takedown notices within 14 days.

13. AI Disclaimer

1. Insights are generated by OpenAI gpt-4o-mini and Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5.
2. AI-generated content is provided "as is" with no warranty of accuracy. AI models may produce false positives, false negatives, or hallucinated content.
3. Insights are for informational and personal-development purposes only. They do not constitute professional psychological, career, medical, or legal advice.
4. You assume full responsibility for decisions made based on AI insights.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
• WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
• OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 에스클리시 (Esklisy), its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

16. Service Changes and Termination

1. We may modify or discontinue the Service with 30 days' notice.
2. In the event of permanent termination, we will provide instructions for exporting your data.
3. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violations of these Terms.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
2. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
3. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the Seoul Central District Court (서울중앙지방법원) as the court of first instance.
4. US users: By using this Service, you consent to Korean jurisdiction and waive any objection to its inconvenience.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

• Non-material changes: 7 days' notice via in-app banner and email.
• Material or adverse changes: 30 days' notice via in-app banner and email.
• Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
